History and historical romance have been a cherished part of Lucy Zahnle’s life since she was a teen. In her stories, she tries to give readers a sense of the eras depicted not only through physical descriptions, but the speech, manners, and attitudes of the characters. She believes in making her heroes and heroines work for their happily-ever-after by facing inner turmoil as well as worldly perils because, to really know her characters, readers should know their minds and hearts and souls as well as their actions.
